Installation - Run the msi installer to copy the MCE7 Recording LED files to your system. - Select "Yes" to any UAC prompts that ask if you want this program to allow modifications to the computer. (You have to say yes, because it copies a parallel port driver to your windows\system32 directory) - After installation finishes, go to the installation directory - run the program "mce7ledregister.exe" -- this will register the plugin with Windows Media Center - To uninstall, run the "mce7ledunregister.exe" program to unregister the plugin BEFORE running uninstall from the Control Panel Running - The configuration ini file is located at c:\windows\ehome\mcerecordled.ini - debug=on/off - turns on or off debug messages - portaddress= - the decimal value of your parallel port (defaults to 0x378/888) - portvalue= - the parallel port data pins to drive when recording is happening 1 = data port 0, 2 = data port 1, 4 = data port 2, 3 = data ports 0 & 1, etc
